Spring Break -- First Stop Seaside, OR

When we finally arrived in Seaside it was beautiful outside. The sun was shining, the beach was busy and it felt like Spring Break. So we decided to go for a walk and hang out on the beach until our room was ready.
Blake spent a second trying to figure out how he felt about sand and then realized he needed to see how it tastes. Daddy had to scoop him up and clean out his mouth, but it made for a funny moment.

Caden could have spent hours on the beach. He loves digging and playing in the sand. He couldn't wait to get back to the beach....but the weather had other plans. It went from being sunny and warm to cold, windy and rainy. So on Sunday we headed to indoor fun like the aquarium, the outlet stores, and the arcade.

Outside the Aquarium in Seaside. It is a small aquarium, but has a ton of sea life to see. Caden loved the octopus and the "ugly" eels. He thought the seals were so funny and now loves to imitate them when telling others about their sounds and actions. He did not want to play in the touch pools though...so he is still a scaredy cat kid.

Caden really wanted to see the beach one more time. So we all bundled up and took our kite and shovel and pail and headed out to the empty and windy beach. We didn't last long, but Caden really enjoyed his time and keeps asking when we get to go back. He especially loved flying the kite...which was so easy since the wind was blowing the whole time.

Because of the weather we spent A TON of time in our hotel room. The great thing about that was it was large and gave us lots of room to play. We had two bedrooms and two bathrooms. So for the first time ever the boys slept in the same bed. We didn't know how it would work, but they are both good, heavy sleepers and it worked fine.

Oh and Blake has 6 teeth now and he likes to show them off.
