We are trying to get to know our new area as much as possible. Last weekend the city of Sumner has their annual Sumner Arts Festival. It is a really great community festival that centers on all handmade goods and giving back to local organizations. What we loved about it is that it is super kid friendly. They have a sandbox, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, a jumpy house, fire engines, face painting and so much more...all for free. Caden didn't want to leave.
We had to throw in a photo of Caden on the way to the festival eating his daily Otter Pop. He LOVES otter pops. He wants to eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner and sometimes we find him trying to climb into the freezer to get his own. The other day we met some neighbor kids and he said "come here, otter pop" to them and brought them all in the garage to get one. It was pretty funny! The best thing is that they can buy us about 15 minutes of quiet time :)
Caden got to go through a house that was on "fire" to learn fire safety and he kept saying "I'm a fireman!" and when the real firemen would ask all the kids "Are you ready?" Caden would scream "I ready!" back at them. When him and his dad came out of the house Caden wanted to go again, as if it was some sort of ride. One of the firemen asked him if he wanted to see the firetruck...so Caden got to see all of the bells and whistles. He was so good that they invited us to the fire station in Bonney Lake for a tour!
There was this great bubble wand that made the largest bubbles I have ever seen (see the last photo for an example) and Caden liked to run into the bubbles and have them splatter all over him. We have to get one of those!
