**Christmas Eve**

Christmas 2010 has come and gone, but it is amazing how much fun you can pack into a few days! We were lucky enough to have Papa and Grandma Ferg come up a few days before Christmas to spend time with us. We had a great time just laying low at home, playing games, enjoying dance parties and laughing. Caden and Blake both love having such great relationships with both sets of grandparents and we couldn't be luckier to have their support in our lives.

We hosted Christmas Eve at our house this year. We cooked a big turkey and had a ton of yummy side dishes, appetizers and cookies. We also started a new tradition...beer pong. Pat really wanted to play so Joel showed up with Keystone light (or something awful like that) and some ping pong balls. We divided into teams and Meagan and Pat won the night with 2 wins, over Joel and I with our one win, and the Papa's with their zero wins. It was actually a lot more fun than I thought it would be. Caden and Blake were both watching and cheering us on, although I don't know how I feel about my 4 year old telling people that beer pong is a really fun game.

There is nothing better than to be surrounded by family during the holidays. We wish that Mandy, Spike and Lyala could've been with us, but it was great spending these cherished moments and making these great memories and traditions with our extended family.

The boys had been as patient as a 4 year old and a 1 year old can be. They really wanted to open some of those presents under the tree. So we let them open their presents from Grandma and Papa Peterson, Auntie Meagan and Uncle Joel. Blake was unsure of the attention and didn't quite know what to do, but once he figured out he was allowed to rip things he couldn't open his presents (or other people's presents) quickly enough. Caden wanted to play with each toy between opening, so he was a bit more methodical about it. These boys sure are loved and they received so many fun toys and cute clothes from my family!

The hit of the night was from Uncle Joel. Caden opened his own DJ center where he can mix and record songs. Everyone wanted to play it and Pat couldn't wait until the boys went to sleep so he could get some time with it too! The greatest part about it is the headphones. Caden can make as much noise, I mean music, as he wants and Pat and I can't even hear it :) Thanks Uncle Joel!
