**Christmas Day**

So Magical! That is the best way to describe Christmas this year. The excitement and anxiousness that Caden had going to sleep on Christmas Eve made this holiday season hold even more meaning to me. Having children completely brings back the spirit of the season. The constant talk of Santa, Reindeer, and presents and the constant sound of Christmas music from the radio and being sung by a 4 year old will never get old to me. I truly think that this time of year makes me love being a parent almost more than any other time.
Santa did come since both boys were pretty great this year! He stuffed their stockings, wrapped a few presents (not all of them...he has a very busy schedule), and stopped to eat a few cookies and feed the reindeer. He even took the time to write a little note to Caden and Blake. Santa really is AMAZING!!! :)

I had too much fun Christmas morning, so my camera wasn't snapping away quite as much as it usually is (yes, I know...I am a little photo happy). But I did get this great shot of Caden rounding the corner and seeing his presents from Santa for the first time. He was smiley and speechless.

Caden and Blake both looked at their piles of presents and then daddy read to them the letter that Santa left. It told them both that they had been really good boys this year and that Santa was proud of them, but it gave them somethings to work on (it does every year!). Caden needed to work on sharing, being nice to his brother, not yelling or screaming and demanding his way, and peeing standing up (yep, Santa is always watching). Blake needed to work on giving mom a break. Santa is a little sick of hearing "Mommy!" repeated over and over for a few hours every night in that tone of his. He LOVED the cookies!

Caden dived into his stocking the minute we told him he could. He kept saying, "How did Santa know I wanted this? Oh that's right, he knows everything!"

Blake also started digging in, but the minute he saw a "lolli" or ring pop the digging stopped and the demanding of "open! open!" began. So we let him have it! It's Christmas, what other time of year can you have a ring pop at 8am. The other thing that made him so happy. His new "teeth" or toothbrush. This kid might end up a dentist. He LOVES to brush his teeth.

We took breaks throughout the morning to play with toys as they were opened. It was great having Grandma and Papa Ferg there to experience Christmas morning with us and through the eyes of these amazing little boys.

After all the craziness of present opening was over and breakfast was eaten Caden needed a little downtime. So he watched one of his new movies....

and Blake took that opportunity to try out all of Caden's new toys. It is so funny how they both really want to get their hands on each others new things! This is when the idea of sharing is sometimes hard for siblings.

After Caden recharged he really wanted to play with the one toy he asked Santa for this year, his monster hot wheels track. So we opened it and put it together. We filled the areas for cold water and warm water and we let him at it. He loved seeing those cars fly around the track and change colors as they landed in different pools of water. He was also enamored with the sponge brain that he could use to mop up the water mess. Boys toys are crazy!

Blake wanted and turn to press the button and watch the car fly. Caden let him and Grandma Ferg helped.

Then it was time to check out one of Blake's toys. His brother and him played with his new Chuck cars and garage.

They were both so busy all morning. There was so much to see and play with!
Grandma and Papa Ferg left us in the mid-morning to head back down to Oregon to have Christmas dinner with Mandy, Spike and Lyala. We headed over to my parents house to spend some time on Christmas Day with them, my siblings and my other family! We got to see Caleb, my lifelong friend Ashlee and her husband Eric's son, who we hadn't seen since he was a wee little one. It was great to have them in town! Plus Nana and Papa (my other parent's) were there too. Since Nana watches the boys during the week they were excited to see them too. We had a great dinner, opened a few more presents and just spent time watching those silly kids.
Best Christmas Yet!
