Happy 4th of July!

With such beautiful weather we had a fabulous fourth of July (the day after Caden turned 10 months old...can you believe it). We had a BBQ and pool party Ferguson style. G'ma and G'pa Peterson, Auntie Meagan and her best friend Jen and Uncle Joel and his friend Antonio all stopped by for a dip! Caden was the star of the party of course and kept people entertained.

Caden loves his baby boat that he got from G'ma and G'pa Ferguson and the family pool we have for the backyard. He could kick and splash for hours :)

We are so lucky to have such a great eater...but boy does he get messy sometimes. We have set up a highchair outside so we can all eat together on the patio.

The 9 Month Check-Up!

Can you believe Caden is 9 months old. Well an update from our visit to the pediatrician. Caden weighs 21.4 pounds and is 27 3/4 inches long. The doctor said he probably lost a pound to a pound and a half from being sick the week before...he definitely looks a little thinner. We need to post some new photos.

Memorial Day in Silverton, OR

Caden got his first taste of a stomach virus. It was very hard to see him so sick and not be able to do much of anything. He got sick on Sunday morning (2:00am) and still hasn't had a real meal (today is Thursday). Pat and I both had to take a day at home with him...our first time ever. We can tell Caden is sick when all he wants to do is cuddle...otherwise he is way to independent for cuddling.

Other than that, Silverton was a really charming town and I think we will go back. It was great to see EVERYONE -- Grandma and Grandpa Ferg, Uncle Spike and Aunt Mandy and our extended family the Olsen's and Prather's.

A BBQ at the Eilertson's!

We went to a party for all of the track coach's on a beautiful Friday at the Eilertson's. Caden got his first taste of a trampoline and watermelon and he loved both.

Emily -- his future babysitter got some practice feeding him dinner.

Madison wanted to give Caden some flowers she picked just for him...he was more interested in the mini-football that Jake let him keep.

Happy Mother's Day!

Caden's first trip to the zoo was for Mother's Day weekend. He had the most fun watching all of the other kids enjoy the zoo...we can't wait until he gets as excited as them. It was a beautiful day in seattle.

Caden is CRAWLING!

Caden loves to pose for the cameras...but more importantly he is CRAWLING! On Friday, April 27 he finally got his act together. He had been scooting and going backwards for quite some time, but now watch out...because he can go wherever he wants. He is also sitting up and can get himself from crawling position to sitting position. It is just one thing after another...and the doctor said he might be slow because of his weight...well we showed him :)

Yeah for nice days!

We are finally starting to get Caden outside for walks. It was a little chilly but the sun was shining. We even got to go on the swings and down the slide at our neighborhood park.

Milestone Updates!

Caden cut his first tooth on March 15th and is now able to get up on all fours and rock back and forth. We don't know whether to be excited or scared that he is close to crawling!

He also has learned that a camera pointed in his face means to look and smile, maybe mom and dad take too many photos :) But overall he just likes to smile. When we go out in public he smiles at everyone who passes by, just waiting for them to smile back.

6 Month Check-Up!

So Caden survived his 6 month check-up! He got 3 shots...but he only cried for a second and than he was fine. He weighed in at 19 pounds 8 ounces and measured 27 inches in length with a 45 cm. head circumfrence. So he is still a big, happy baby boy! He is rolling around everywhere, he LOVES baby food (eating is his favorite time of day), and he giggles and babbles non-stop. We are having so much fun with him at this age, but we are a little scared for him to become more mobile...he is already so active.

Caden was very focused on the camera, so this shows his serious side. For those of you that know him you will understand that this is quite unusual as he is a pretty goofy little guy. The new development is that he is making consonant sounds, like mama and dada :).

Pat has been a bears fan for 21 years, so the Ferguson family is going for the Chicago Bears this Sunday and thanks to Papa G Caden can represent!

Auntie Cindy made Caden a purple and yellow outfit with FERG embroidered on the back so Caden could watch Pat coach and cheer on the Illahee Braves. It is always a hit with the middle schoolers!

Caden's 4-month Check-Up!

Caden weighed in at 17 pounds 8 ounces (90%) and was 25 1/2 inches long (75%). He is making a lot of sounds, giggling and smiling at anyone who will pay attention to him, trying to sit-up, rolling over from his stomach to his back and doing all of those fun things that baby's do as they grow quickly.
