Easter Weekend at Discovery Bay!

Caden got to see Grandma and Grandpa Ferg for the first time since Christmas because they decided to spend their Spring Break in Discovery Bay (up near Port Townsend). We spent two days in a beautiful condo on the water and had so much fun watching Caden discover that Easter Eggs are full of wonderful surprises.

Caden's new thing is to raise his eyebrows and open his eyes really wide when he is excited or anticipating something exciting. It is pretty funny!

Indoor Pools are SCARY!

When we heard that there was a pool at the Worldmark in Discovery Bay we were excited to watch Caden swim like he tries to in the bathtub. Last summer he loved all of the pools we went to, but he hasn't seen one since. The minute he went inside the pool area he started shaking, crying and hugging his dad as tightly as possible. Of course I had to take some photos of just how miserable and scared he was...everyone says he has such an expressive face :)

Hanging Out At the Beach!

We spent Friday night in Silverdale, WA, a town on our way to Discovery Bay to see Grandma and Grandpa Ferg for Easter Weekend. Caden LOVED throwing rocks on the beach and the fact that many dogs were guests at our hotel because there was a dog show in Silverdale. It was the perfect day and evening for him.

The only thing tough about the evening was that Pat and I never sleep in the same room as Caden (at least not since he was about 3 days old) and sharing a hotel room with our son proved to be a little challenging. Let's just say that we were all in bed by 9:00pm...very early for us and very late for him.

Caden loved being able to go back and forth from the inside to the outside on our balcony so he could watch the dogs and the seagulls.

Caden can't just throw with one hand. He has to have rocks in both!

Coach Ferguson

Caden and I try to get to as many of Pat's Boys Basketball and Girls Basketball games throughout his seasons. Caden loves to watch Basketball and loves to say "hi dad!" from across the court. His favorite thing is to run around on the court at halftime...it is a privilege of being the coaches son :)

He only watches about a quarter of basketball and then he wants to eat snacks and play with his toys.

Team G-Unit

Yesterday a very large group of people (we counted at least 50) honored the fight with Colon Cancer that my dad, Galen a.k.a G-Unit, is currently going through by joining Team G-Unit to walk or run in a variety of races on Mercer Island. Many others who couldn’t be there donated money or purchased t-shirts to support our family and I couldn’t be more thankful. It was truly amazing to see so many people from so many different areas of our lives come together to support us. All of you should know that it truly meant the world to me and my family!

18 Months Old Already!

Caden is turning into a much more loving and cuddly boy. He loves to give kisses, hugs, rub noses, and sit on laps. He also loves his stuffed animals and dances with them and cuddles them whenever we are in his room.

Caden really likes puzzles. He will scream "puzzle" and then run over, pick it up and turn it over to dump all of the pieces off.

Caden celebrated turning 18 months old on Monday by going get his check-up. There are no shots required at this appointment...which is always a good thing. He is progressing perfectly and we were even told that his vocabulary is very advanced for his age. All that talking with the girls at daycare is paying off :)



His vitals came back right on track:

Weight - 27.5 lbs.

Height - 32 in.
