Let's Celebrate Blake - A Red Wagon First Birthday Party!

Sunday was the big party day! We invited all of Blake's family and friends over to help him celebrate this major milestone in his life...turning one! I have learned that the first birthday is really the only cutesy birthday you can have. Those kids develop interests, opinions and likes too quickly and after that you will end up with superheros and bugs are your themes. So I decided to throw a Red Wagon themed first birthday. This is the last first birthday party I will throw so we went all out :)
We started the party at 12:30pm. Right after he wakes up from his nap and just in time for everyone to come and enjoy some lunch. Blakey got to eat his lunch in his thrown...overlooking his festivties.

He had to dress the part! A super cute Red Wagon t-shirt and some blue and red plaid shorts...he looked so adorable!

Big brother got a red wagon shirt too...that he quickly got soaking wet. But who is going to stop that joy!

Grandma and Grandpa Ferg and Auntie Mandy, Uncle Spike and Cousin Lyala came up from Oregon for the occasion. My boys are obsessed with their baby cousin. They love her and think she is so beautiful. We are still working on being gentle with Blake, but Caden has it down!

Emerson goes to daycare (Nana's house) with Caden and Blake and although her and Caden are best buds, she LOVES Blake! He seems to love her too...look at that grin. He even let her soak his hair and give him a mohawk.

Don't put him in the pool, but he loves splashing the water from outside the pool. We are glad we put the kiddie pool up because it got pretty hot in the backyard and the kids liked going in it to cool off and the adults just walked by for a little splash to cool off.

But be careful. Your son might decide to give you a "wet hug" at a moments notice.

Some of Blake's best buds who came out for the occasion. Max, Ava, Micaela, Xavier, Nana and Papa, Mandy, Collin, Lila, Courtland, and Holden!

Some of my friends came out too! Thanks for being a part of our family! Becky and Deric, Angela and Jeremy, Anne and Kyle, Harmony, Jen F., Michelle, Jen L., Jenn, Katie, Ashley, Mica, Stacey, Kim and Dave.

And Big Brother had some big kids to play with too! Gage, Kai, Emerson, Audrey, Gracie, Ava, Sam, and Logan.

Time for cake! But first a little game of Peek-a-Boo...yes, those are his ears, but it is still really cute!

He slowly worked at his cake.

YUM!!!! All Done!

And the day wouldn't be complete without a little special time with his big brother! These boys mean the world to us and days like these are so fun to celebrate them!
Happy Birthday to our Baby Boy Blakey Andrew!
