A Trip to the Dentist

So last year, after Caden's third birthday, Pat took him to the dentist and he freaked out! Not a little, but a lot. He didn't even get through x-rays and a cleaning never happened. They told us to try again later. Well life happened and we hadn't scheduled another appointment until he turned four and we remembered that he should probably get into the dentist. So last week we took him back! We had talked to him about the process and all the fun he would have seeing what his teeth looked like and having them cleaned. We let him know he would get a cool free toothbrush, or two, if he was lucky.

Well he was excited to go. But any of you who have a preschooler know that their excitement in theory doesn't always match the reality of any situation. Well much to our surprise and delight he really liked the dentist this year. He did an x-ray, he let them clean his teeth and he talked to the dentist about how to care for them. He walked out of there with a huge grin, two toothbrushes and no cavities! He was so proud!

While Caden got his teeth cleaned Blake entertained the office staff with his giggles, squeals, hi's and bye's and his love of the new toothbrush they gave him. He sure knows how to flirt with the ladies.
