The boys, Pat, Uncle Joel and I headed out to Trick-or-Treat a little after dinner! Caden had a new rule this year that we learned soon after hitting the pavement. We were only going to Trick-or-Treat at houses that had Halloween decorations at them. He was much braver than he had been in years before and even enjoyed some of the spookier houses. He kept saying how much he liked Halloween and how it was his favorite day. For a four year old the idea of people giving you candy just for knocking on their door is such an exciting prospect. This year October 31st was so magical for me...just watching it through the eyes of our little boy.

He found a giant Frankenstein and he needed to take a photo with him and dad!

Blakey only made it up to a couple of houses. Once we let him open a lollipop it was over. He just wanted to ride in the wagon and eat that candy.

Caden was so proud of his loot. Look at that grin...pure happiness. He is already planning his costumes and parties for next year. I think this might be his favorite holiday. He is taking after his mom more and more.

Oh and Blake really wanted one more lollipop before bed! There was a major meltdown when I said no.

How adorable are these two boys?! I love the photo of both of them at the door trick-or-treating -- how wonderful that you are able to preserve these memories for them with photos and your words! And I, too, would have had a meltdown if you'd told me no lollipop. Blake has good taste.
