Adult filled weekends and evenings are a great thing!

Last Saturday my wonderful husband and sister threw me a surprise 30th Birthday evening! We headed up to Seattle after I dropped the boys off with Grandma Peterson. We checked into the MarQueen Hotel on Lower Queen Anne and then headed to dinner at Paragon on Upper Queen Anne. We were joined by Carrie and Leon, Joan and Tom and Brian and Jen. I was so surprised to have all of them join us and we enjoyed a lovely meal and some drinks before "meeting up with Meagan," as Pat kept telling me.

We headed back to 10 Mercer, which is a restaurant and lounge inside the MarQueen Hotel, and walked in to some decorate tables, mini-cupcakes and quite a few of my great friends and family! It was really nice to see everyone and to know that they made it out (some had to drive, some had to find babysitters, some had to wake up early the next morning) to help me celebrate turning 30! It is always better to be surrounded by family and friends....and I truly enjoyed my evening thanks to all of you.

After 10 Mercer we headed to Ozzie's...of course...for some karaoke. To my surprise my husband kicked off the karaoke festivities with Ice Ice Baby. It quickly turned into a song called, "My wife is thirty!" Thanks honey for dedicating a song to my evening. I love you for it.

Jen and I did some Don't Stop Believin' by Journey. We felt it for sure!

We made the boys do some Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch! Good Vibrations.
It was a super fun night! I feel like I am still recovering from it (must be the old age...ha!). I think I should turn 30 every year!
The weekend before we headed to the Enumclaw Octoberfest with some of our good friends! It was a blast....we tasted beer, we enjoyed some BBQ and fries, and we listened to the Smiling Scandanavians.
