Pat and I decided to be brave parents and head out on a road trip to Oregon as a family of four. We borrowed my parent's minivan, to make our lives easier, and headed down for a whirlwind week of travel, family, friends and all that comes with it. The first stop was Portland for a mini-brewery tour with Uncle Spike, Auntie Mandy, Morgan, Austin and their adorable one year old daughter Addison. Then we headed to Spike and Mandy's to spend our first night in Oregon. After the brief stay at their home in Monmouth, OR we headed to Grandma and Papa's house in Klamath Falls. What we found out was the normal 4-hour trip took almost 7 hours when traveling with a hungry infant and an antsy toddler!

Grandma and Papa had
Caden's Lego's and his giant cardboard box ready for him as soon as we arrived!

Papa had promised
Caden that he would get to go fishing when we came down to visit. So I bought him a
Spiderman fishing pole for the trip and they got started with some practice in the front lawn. Don't stand too close to
Caden because he thinks casting a fishing pole is much like swinging a baseball bat :)

The main reason for our trip down was to go to one of Pat's best friends weddings. Casey and Ashley were getting married in
Lakeview, OR and Pat was a groomsman! Above is what Blake looked like for most of the wedding and reception...which meant that I had a horrible night with a baby that just didn't want to sleep anymore :)

On our way back to
Klamath Falls from
Lakeview we stopped at a reservoir so
Caden could really go fishing. He didn't want to touch the fish or the worms but he was really excited when everyone else caught fish.

And it was nice for Grandma and Papa to bond with Blake too!
