2009 Has Begun....how did we celebrate?

We got to spend a lovely week in Boise, ID for Anne and Kyle Grant-Anderson's beautiful New Years Eve wedding! Anne is one of my greatest friends from college and work and Anne and Kyle have become very special members of our "family", so we were so honored to be a part of their big day. Caden got to be their ring-bearer and I got to be a bridesmaid. We had a really great time in Boise, it is such a beautiful city, and it was great to not only get to be with our wonderful friends for NYE, but we also got to bring along Papa and Grandma Ferg and visit with Pat's Aunt Judy and Uncle Kenny and his cousin Candy and her kids Tatum and Tanner who call Boise home.

Seeing our little man in a tuxedo really made me cry. He looked so handsome and like such a little boy. He had really done a great job at the rehearsal, but with the lights down and the people staring he ended up walking down the aisle with me instead of with the cutest, professional flower girl! We also bribed him with a few suckers...we aren't afraid of bribery when it is necessary.

Here he is after the ceremony...jacket off, sucker in hand!

The only photo of the beautiful bride that I have :)

Sometimes he is kissy...and sometimes he isn't! I just love this photo because it really speaks to the 2-year old mind.

The best part of the whole night for Caden was the dancing. He looked at me at one point and he said, "Mom, this is Rock n' Roll!" He danced and danced for a couple of hours...we couldn't get him off the dance floor. He even started during cocktail hour when the music is a little slower than usual. You can see some of his moves below.
