Christmas at the Ferguson's!

We definitely had a white Christmas this year. We spent our time with Grandma and Grandpa Ferguson and Auntie Mandy and Uncle Spike down in Klamath Falls, OR. We had so much fun, ate way too much food, and watched a lot of movies...it was a fantastic Christmas break for all of us. Caden loved spending time with Papa and Grammy (as he called them) and it will be too long before we see them again.
It was also Caden's first plane ride and he did great. His ears didn't bother him at all and he just liked flirting with all of the pretty ladies who sat around us. We were glad they were short flights though...I don't think we could have entertained him much longer.

So Caden was deathly afraid of Santa Clause this year. We thought he would be fine because he usually smiles and talks to anyone that will listen and he has been pointing at anything with a Santa photo on it and saying "ho, ho," but the minute we rounded the corner he started arching his back, shaking and screaming. I never new a jolly man in a red suit could cause such distress. I guess there will always be next year.

We bundled up Caden and took him to the Holiday Light display on Christmas Eve. It was really neat. You parked and then walked through this park which had thousands of lights on display. Caden was very mesmerized by all of the moving lights; it was the quietest he was all trip. Grandma bought him a light stick and he held it the whole time.

Caden had a lot of fun at Grandma's house. He mainly carried around this little tupperware with Cheerio's all week...what can I say he loves "crackers" and "cookies.

Caden was really unsure about the snow. I also think he didn't know how to move with the big puffy coat, snow boots, and gloves on. He pretty much stood there with a grimace on his face, but he loved when we threw snow balls at daddy and grandpa...that was funny! He also like when grandma ran through the snow carrying him.

We didn't have a sled so we improvised. A plastic tub lid and a cardboard box both served the purpose enough to show Caden how fun it was to slide across the snow.

Grandpa showed Caden how to ride the horse...after that Caden would come up to anyone crossing their legs and start hopping up and down, basically asking if they would give him a ride. He loved it!

Every morning Caden would wake up and sit with grandma and grandpa to watch cartoons and drink milk. He was such a good boy over the trip. He slept great at Grandma and Grandpa's...he never got up before 7:45am and he still went to sleep by 7:00pm each night...we know we are lucky parents.

And the best part about Grandma and Grandpa's house was the refrigerator box that Grandpa got from Sears. When we arrived on Saturday it was waiting in the living room with a door made out of a towel and two windows. Caden would say "box" and run into it and play. He loved just sitting in there and playing peek-a-boo through the windows. Now we need to figure out where we can fit one at our house...it was such a fun toy!
