Caden's 15 Month Check-Up!

Can you believe it?!? Caden just experienced his second thanksgiving and is about to experience his second Christmas. This time around he is so curious and eager...it is making it very fun to have him around through all of these holiday's. We really can't imagine life without him.

So Caden and I got to meet Caden's new pediatrician (his old one retired). She is young and smart and really kind. I think that she will be great with Caden. At his 15-month check-up Caden got 3 more shots (including the start of his chicken pox vaccine). He didn't like them one bit! We also found out that his growth is right on. He is now 26 pounds 7 ounces and 30 1/4 inches long. He is pretty solid, but has little, stubby legs. He can probably wear most 24 month clothes on top to account for his belly, but he is definitely 18 months on the bottom :)

He is learning and doing more everyday. Some of his new accomplishments are dancing in little circles (thanks to Emerson's current obsession with ring around the rosy), singing and clapping along to music, running, stomping his feet, pretending to draw and write if you give him a piece of paper and a pen, and so much more. His vocabulary is also growing and he is currently using the following words regularly:
- nigh nigh (this is night night which he says when he is ready for bed. He even says it while he goes up the stairs to his room all by himself...what a good boy)
- cracker
- mine
- out
- go
- back (he likes to put toys, books, and food back into their container, but that doesn't mean they stay there)
- duck and quack, quack
- car
- keys (he also says car keys)
- ball (he also says basketball and football)
- mommy
- daddy
- papa
- thank you (is just starting)
- choo choo
- milk
- bath (and don't say this one too loud if you aren't planning on giving him one. The minute he hears it he gets very excited and finds the nearest bathtub to try and climb in)
- book
- hi
- Jojo, Manny, Pooh -- he likes his playhouse disney
