On September 3, 2006 our lives changed forever. We went from being a couple to truly being a family. Caden came into our lives on his own terms and we have learned that is just his style. He has his own way of doing things and there is very little we can do to change those things or even influence his decisions. His mind is an amazing thing and always has been. His has a great memory which means we can't promise things without following through. He holds us very accountable.He has always been very verbal and the stories that he can tell started with, "time....there was a mouse..." and now string together amazing details about nice, mean and funny aliens including where they sleep, what they eat and how they interact. I marvel at his imagination.
He is still careful, very careful. We never have to worry about him jumping off of something or climbing something he shouldn't, but we are seeing him start to test our boundaries in other ways. His listening skills seem to be getting more selective as he gets older.
But no matter what he is really a light in our life. He is our big boy and we couldn't imagine life without him. We love him more and more everyday and I just can't wait to see where his life takes him. We love you buggy boy!
