Blake had his 6 Month Check-up and he is doing fantastic. Our doctor was really impressed by his posture, his teeth (he has two bottom teeth and she said the top teeth don't look far behind) and his strength. She let us know that we can night wean him and start letting him cry it out in the middle of the night to get him to sleep through the night. We can also start feeding him table food...once he masters his fingers :) He ended up getting 5 shots (OUCH!) including 1 flu shot, 1 H1N1 shot, and 3 immunizations. Poor little guy...but he was a trooper and only cried for a second.
Some things about Blake right now:
- He LOVES his toes. They are his favorite toy. He is not a thumb sucker, but he does suck his toes from time to time.
- He is more impressed with his big brother by the day. The best baby giggles are strictly for his brother.
- I think he might be a Daddy's Boy. He just lights up when he hears or sees his Daddy.
- He likes all foods so far, but he loves fruits the best.
- He is ticklish everywhere.
- He wants to grab at everything and suck on everything.
- He might have asthmatic tendencies...so we have to watch that.

- He is an absolute joy and a pretty easy going baby.
During the doctor appointment Caden got his H1N1 shot too and you wouldn't even know that anything happened. He doesn't mind shots yet! He also is obsessed with the doctor and all of her gadgets. She let him hold things and told him what they were called. He kept telling her "I have one of those in my Doctor kit!" While Blake was getting his shots I tried to distract him but he wanted to watch and when the nurse was all done he asked if she would do more. I don't think he wanted to hurt his brother, but he was fascinated by it all.
